Actor

Like many, Anthony has been acting since middle school, starting with his first full length show, The Hobbit where he played the role of the dwarf Balin. Now, Anthony has had the pleasure of performing for Southwest Chicago Christian Schools (Oak Lawn, IL), Chicago Christian High School (Palos Heights, IL), Olivet Nazarene University (Bourbonnais, IL), Green Room Theatre Co.

(Bourbonnais, IL). He has also worked with the city of Bourbonnais in projects such as the French Heritage Festival.

Stage Manager

Anthony has a problem. Sometimes he cannot sit still. When there is something that needs to be done, he will find a way to make it done. This has helped ignite the passion of stage-managing inside of him. Anthony first served as a stage manager at SCCS during a production of Comedy of Errors. He was then further inspired while serving as the ASM at Olivet's production of

Tuck Everlasting. Since then Anthony has continued to serve in stage-managing roles at Olivet and will continue to not be able to sit still.

Designer

Anthony's grandpa Tony (from who he gets his name) was a carpenter. As soon as his mother trusted him with a hammer Anthony was building and designing things from wooden swords to cardboard houses. At Olivet, Anthony has studied costume, prop, set, light, and sound design. He has aided in set construction and acted as set designer for Broadway Revue: Sinners and Saints. He will also be conducting set design work at Morris Community High school next spring.

Director

One of the most meaningful moments of Anthony's theatre career was his first directing position as AD of a middle school production of Comedy of Errors. This was the moment that inspired him to want to invest in the next generation of theatre makers. Since then, Anthony has been an AD once more at SCCS as well as Directing and Assistant Directing at Olivet. This Summer, Anthony will continue his directing experience while working on a personal project. Anthony believes that having directing experience has helped him understand what is most helpful for him to be in every role that he fills. It has made him a better actor, stage manager, designer, and person as a result.

Spoons 4 Forks

Spoons 4 Forks is the improv comedy team at Olivet of which Anthony has served as Vice President and Treasurer. Anthony had been doing improv for 4 years as captain of his high school team when he was accepted on to Spoons his freshman year. At Spoons he has budgeted, organized practices, helped orchestrate improv workshops, and of course, performed. He has also performed at Logan Square Improv (Chicago, IL).

Mission

"In some way, shape, or form I will be a theatre educator one day, how I will get there still remains a mystery. I wish to collect every bit of experience I can in the industry in order to better serve the next generation. The theme of ONU Theatre has been “humanity”. What does it mean to be human? How are we all connected, and how are we different? How do our flaws and strengths influence the way we interact with others? I have adopted these values into my own view of theatre. I believe that Theatrical and Psychological education are two of the best ways to understand ourselves and how we should begin to understand others. While examining countless productions, it is clear that nearly every aspect of theatre requires empathy, understanding, and introspection."
